Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours golden brown with a small foamy off-white head and some lacing. The aroma is mainly malts and honey plus some hoppy hints. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy almost chewy texture. Flavours are caramel, honey and sweet malts plus some traces of traditional hops. Hints of corn, citrus and biscuits later on as well leading to a somewhat fruity finish. This is surprisingly decent – though a little innocuous.
