Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Hazy reddish brown in colour with a dense cream head; the aroma is light and fruity; full bodied with rich earthy malts and some red fruit flavours; then a dry finish. A substantial and satisfying pint.

Cask-conditioned at the White Lion, Bristol. This beer struck me as similar, but inferior to, Uley Old Spot. Dark ruby brown with a slight head. Aroma was of dark fruit and malt. Flavour was of raisins, toffee and a touch of marzipan. Drinkable stuff.

[Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A hazy chestnut colored beer with a thin dense brown head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity combined with notes of black currant and cowberries, with hints of the malt lying in the back ground. The flavor is very sweet with loads of berry notes again it is black currant and cowberries, then comes a good fruityness especially oranges, again the malt is a soft note in the background, towards the end a citrusy hoppy comes along and leads to a bitter toffeeish dry end. The notes of berries lingers for a long time.

Cask conditioned
Chestnut brown, not much head. Flowery hoppy, trefoil aroma. Light-bodied, mild aromatic hops flavor. Honey sweetness. Sweetish aftertaste. Enjoyable session beer.
