Aged for 4 months in an American oak whiskey barrel (from Slyrs Distillery in Bavaria). Rich & complex with a big malt character, mild carbonation and a dry finish. Somewhat reminiscent of an Old Ale or Scottish Strong Ale. Notes of caramel, toffee, sherry, oak, whisky, toasty malts followed by a warming presence of alcohol. Hops: Warrior.

Tap at CBF Vienna. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, dried fruits. Taste is basically the same but there’s a touch of green apples in there too. Not too strong, but pretty apparent. Apart from this it’s pretty aight if a bit bland.
