Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a medium sized creamy dark brown head that left good lacing. The aroma was bourbon, anise, chocolate, toasty malts and wood. The flavor was toasty with red wine, anise, bourbon, wood and cocoa. Long finish. Thick and smooth body. Excellent.
