Sampled at the meadery this mead poured a dark amber color. The aroma was wood, vanilla and sweet chocolate. The flavor was tangy and sweet with notes of chocolate, vanilla, apple, pear and honey. Long finish with lingering chocolate. Moderately full bodied. Excellent.
