09-10-16 // bottle from Firma Bier, at home. Pours clear golden, solid white foamy head. Hoppy fruity nose. Taste is light malty. Then fruity hops, gooseberry, light pear. Dry bitter finish. Bit like a dry fruity white wine. Nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sauvinova on 09 Oct 2016 at 21:04 - Score: 8

On tap at the Lumsden. Aroma is grassy, gooseberry, a little funky straw. Flavour is big gooseberry and straw leading into a sweet refreshing pear finish. Nice.

Hazy pale amber colour, average frothy white head, good retention, good lacing. Delicate hop nose, rich aroma, pale malts, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango, light pine, grass, caramel, ginger. Mild taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, white grapes, caramel. Dry sweetbitter finish, piney, grassy and light herbal notes, some resin, well-balanced, mellow and aromatic IPA, delicious.

Bottle from Thirsty, drunk at home. Dark gold with an irrepressible white head.lots of visible carbonation. Smells of sweaty tropical fruit, a touch of resin, an indefinable sweetish spice. Sweet and fruity at first, Sauvinova has a decent little hoppy kick at the end. Leaves me wanting more. Dry finish. Thing about this beer: the hop is gentle. Thereβs certainly enough of it to call it a hop-led beer but the lip-smacking malt profile is very evident as well. Yum.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney and fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of pineapple, gooseberry, kiwi fruit, white grapes, mellow caramel malty background. Taste is dry, crisp bitter hoppy, fruity, notes of gooseberry, kiwi fruit, white grapes, subtly sweet, caramel malty background. Crisp and clean, excellent exposition of the Nelson Sauvin flavours.
