Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a deep copper with a small off-white head and good lacing. Rich buttery malts are to the fore in the aroma. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a creamy texture but some underlying bitterness too. Malts and fudge are the main flavours at the start, but later there are some hops and spices with hints of oregano and almonds, leading to a decidedly bitter finish where some alcoholic strength is evident. This is decent.
