Super pale golden coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of fresh grassy hops with a pungent herbal malt kick and some light alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop flavour with some small malt kicks and a touch of sugar near the end, but fairly simple and easy-to-drink without a big complexity at all. Aftertaste shows a touch of herbs along with the hops and a touch of perfume in the flavour as well. Overall, a nice APA with a good kick from the hops, but not assertive nor pungent at all. Good to try, and well recommended if you can find this as easily as I did. I sampled this twenty ounce pint on draught at Portillo’s in Chicago, Illinois while eating some of the best hot dogs in the city on 14-November-2015 for US$5,00.

Purchased at Half Acre Brewery in Chicago, IL; enjoyed with a good friend while watching game 7 of the World Series. Appearance pale yellow, slightly cloudy, thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, touch of citrus, smells light. Taste is crisp and light, definite grapefruit, light hops, crisp, slightly refreshing. This is a session ale, but at $8 a bomber it’s a bit steep.
