Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has caramel and floral hops plus some hints of citrus. In the mouth there’s an initial burst of sweetness before it quickly becomes fairly bitter. Flashes of the sweetness can be detected later on as well. Flavour has ranges and marmalade plus hints of ginger and melon leading to a sweet and pithy finish. This one is a grower – I was going to say “ok” but it’s somewhat better than that.
