Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head. The aroma is mainly malts plus a little caramel. In the mouth it is sweet and creamy with flavours of malt and nuts vplus traces of honey and treacle. This isn’t at all bad – if a little insipid.
