Tap at the Prague Beer Fest 2025 as I finalized my second long-term loan of the day to Bevog's stall. Hazy yellow body, off-white head. Coconutty sweetish hoppy aroma, with some citrus notes building up later on. Lean but sweetish taste, clean maltiness, but full, citric, light coconut, very well hidden alcohol - but sadly no bitterness to balance it out. Fine, though not my thing.

Taster from tap at Mel's Diner. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells cat pee, earth, old hoppy. Full body, soft carbonation. tastes sweet, earthy, grassy, tobacco, some mango, pineapple, light lactose. finishes sweet with notes of mango, pineapple and earthy notes. Heavy and sweet, not such a fan

A hazy golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of yellow stone fruits, mango, pineapple. Taste of pineapple, apricot, mango, yeast, mild bitterness.

Can, Bevog webshop. Quite hazy orange, medium white head, not too lasting. Nice and juicy fruity hoppy nose, sweet and ripe tropical notes. Medium sweetness, fruity and medium bitterness. A bit fuller and silky body. Some warming presence. Just great.

Dieses Bier ist dem Teufelskärpfling (Cyprinodon diabolis) gewidmet, einem kleinen Fisch 🐟, der in Becken mit heißen Quellen in Nevada 🏜️ lebt. Dabei ist er bedroht durch die Wasserentnahme z.B. beim Hoover-Damm als auch steigende Wassertemperaturen durch die Klimakrise. Er ist derart vom Aussterben bedroht, dass 2013 nurmehr 35 Exemplare gezählt wurden. Im Frühjahr 2024 wurden wieder 191 Tiere 🐠 gezählt, wobei die Bedrohung bleibt, da die Nachzucht im Labor fehlschlug und wegen der kleinen Population lediglich Eier entnommen werden dürfen.
Soviel zum Tier, jetzt zum Bier: Es ist ein verdammt fruchtiges Double NEIPA mit vielen süßen Obstaromen 🍑🍓🍇
Dadurch spürt man die alkoholische Schwere oft zu spät, denn das Bier ist kein leichtes Wüstenbier.
Die Farbe ist trüb und hellgelb mit wenig feinporigen Schaum.
Ein Bier mit ordentlich Tiefgang, das man nicht unterschätzen darf

Trocken herber, zunehmend hopfiger Beginn. Spritzig, süffig, hellmalzig, moderate Bitterkeit. Spritzig, langer Abgang, harzig. 10/11/12/11//11

Trübe gelb orange Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hopfiger, fruchtiger, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich hopfig, malzig, fruchtig nach tropischen Früchten wie Mango und Papaya. Mittlere Süße mit hoher Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
