Bottle sampled at Carnivale Brettanomyces Homebrew market. Hazy golden with white head. Funk, light fresh peach, white grapes, soft wood, hay, bitter leafy hops, light spicy green notes. There’s a nice mix of lots of fruit and the green notes with a balancing fresh funk. Under medium sour and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

(750ml bottle @ Koelschip, Copenhagen, May 11/17) Mad gusher. Pours a somewhat hazy deep orange with a good sized eggshell head and spotty lace. Nose is bright and herbal, with lime peel, botanical notes, wet woody funky notes, lightly floral, maybe a slight spirit character to it. Flavour is lightly acidic citrus, lime heavy, botanical herbs, a touch coniferous, some soft wood, zesty overall, crisp, botanicals build a bit in the finish and aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium to full, plush but sprightly from effervescent carbonation. I think you can enjoy this if you don’t like gin, but it’s more special if you love it. As a fan of a proper G&T, the call-outs here were enjoyable. Awesome bottle for 10AM.
