8/10 Appearance 10 Aroma 8 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7
Ridiculously hazy muddied brown coloured body with a thick, seven centimetre tall ultra foamy brown head that fades down very ugly, with a ridiculously hazy pure brown glow - chunky! Aroma of very funky yeast, alcohol, wheat, coriander seed, funk an somehow - even more yeast notes, a touch of soured malt and a little grain toward the end.Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and grain flavour with a very noticeable yeast and bready flavour coupled with some grain, funk, alcohol, light fruit-based sugars and a relatively strong bitterness from hops near the very tail end. Aftertaste shows some yeast, coriander seed and funky earthiness, all with a light amount of sugars from peaches, apricots and plums and ending with the hop notes again coming through. Overall, a nice and quite funky beer with the coriander seed, curacao and wheat really coming through, with some bread/earthy notes and some mild fruit-based sweetness on the tail end. Nice to try and funky/complex throughout which is nice throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Grape Vine in Fort Mill, South Carolina on 21-August-2017 for US$2,34 after watching the Eclipse, sampled in my hotel room here in Columbia, Maryland on 28-November-2017.
