After brewing this intense double IPA with more than 10 different hops and consistently delivering it faster than any bottled IPA on the planet, we decided to do something different with this Stone Enjoy By IPA—we took it to another level, again. Puréed tangerines were added to the batch to create a devastatingly fresh IPA with a tang of tangerine. The flavors yielded by this addition to the recipe meld beautifully with the bitterness of the hops. True to this series, Stone Enjoy By Tangerine IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and should be enjoyed within 37 days.

Although still very similar to our classic version of Stone Enjoy By IPA (it is the same recipe, after all), the tangerine adds a more intense citrus element to the beer. We first made this variation in 2015 as a very small batch and loved it so much that we had to find a date for it in 2016.

Bomber. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A big sweet citrus and caramel nose. Rich smooth citrus, fresh oranges, toasted malt, sticky sweet resin. Not getting a ton of fruit here in terms of the addition, which is welcome. Very good. Tangerine lingers in the finish. Some heat.

22oz bomber pours with a clear pure gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma pulses with malt nuanced dank onion, tangerine and tangelo. Nice. The taste delivers a rich blend of tangerine, tangelo and spicy bitter garlic and onions. This is solid front to back with citrus juicy richness and a deep hoppy bite. It ends as it started creating a tongue-o-luscious experience. Love it.

Bottle. A- Tangerines, resinous. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Tangerines, oranges, resin, juicy, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Enjoyed a 7.25.16 on 7.35. Seems to be my routine of having Enjoy By’s on their final date. This one was decent and better than the original. Not aggressively bitter and a nice citrusy balance.

Draft at Bier:Thirty. Orange golden body with off white shirt head. Tangerines prominent in the aroma, and add a bunch of citrus notes, softening the hops bite, but adding more tang to the finish. Tangy, bright and tasty. Mild burn.
