Named after the site of Timothy Taylor’s first brewery in Keighley. The brewers wanted to create a best in class modern IPA using aromatic English grown Cascade and Chinook hops. This gives the beer a less harsh and more gentle flavour profile than many of the extreme, hoppy IPAs currently flooding the market.

330ml bottle. Poured a clear copper colour with a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee, light resin, light woody citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malt, light fruity, light dry floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not a full blown IPA and not a bitter either. Not so bad and moderately sessionable.

Bottle from Morrisons. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of stainless steel, rust and red apple. Flavour of earth, peppery hops and orange marmalade. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. It doesn’t smell great, but the sharp, hoppy taste is quite nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Swan, York 22/4/2018. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Jammy fruits, some red berries, hedgerow hops, chewy malts and a pleasantly bitter finish. A good take on an English IPA.

Bradford Beer Festival 2018. Darker clear golden, clean tasting, with its strength very evident. It has a floral-hoppy nose and a sweetness in its taste.
