0.473l can. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and dried fruit. Pours almost black color with thin soapy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and coffee, follows by chocolate and nuts with earthy, ashy and grassy notes, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is dry and heavy bitter. Pint in Chula Vista while my wife tolerates this stop.
Matte brown on black, tacked cocoa head.
Nose is all cocoa, carbo & ash.
Bittersweet leaning sweet & sharp. Lovely dense roast, a touch smokey, a quick wave of dark chocolate, lightly nutty, lingering ash & calcium.
Fizzy, medium astringency, easy abv for 7.
Good, classic stuff.

Can from Beer Republic. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, some vanilla, chocolate, burnt malt, caramel, and a hint of liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Roasty and a bit burnt with coffee, cocoa, the vanilla gives it a slight dessert-like twist.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of chocolate and dark grains with a bit of roast coming through. Flavor has dark grains and roasted malts throughout with chocolate growing through the finish.
