Sample at the tap room during the "Barrel-aged Bottle Release Party" on 01/28/2017. Pours black with some brown around the edges, and a thin beige head that recedes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of vanilla, rum and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, rum, coffee and chocolate malt. The finish is sweet and borderline cloying with a rummy vanilla aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
