Sample at the Ballast Point tasting room in Temecula. Clear dark brownish-amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Gin, malt and vanilla in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, piney gin and dark fruit. The finish is oaky with a gin aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
