Nice copper and amber coloured body with a smooth, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, a touch of cardboard and caramel and a bit of hops noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong rich caramel and malty flavours with a little alcohol bitterness, some piney and floral hops and a nice dose of sugars at the end. Aftertaste shows a nice robust malty flavour with good hops, a bit of sugar and a pleasant balance throughout. Overall, a nice IPA that I wasn’t expecting to be as good as it was! Nice to sample and a big ’thank you’ to all the service men and women who keep us all safe. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 07-July-2016 for US$2,79 sampled in my hotel room in New York, New York on 21-January-2017.
