This dark brown to black beer is packed with aromas of chocolate cake, cocoa, coffee, some butter and dried fruits. Flavor is sweet-based with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, lightly bitter coffee, and a savory touch. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Can from Geers, Oostakker. Pours cloudy black with a slowly thinning, frothy, dark beige head. Strong aroma of brownie dough, milk chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, cashew, meringue, biscuit, mocha with sugar. Taste is a thick chocolatey & biscuity sweet profile with a creamy vanilla undertone, somewhat herbal & toasty bitter & very faintly umami soy-like. Dry, toasty, herbal hoppy finish, lingering bitter pure dark chocolate, biscuit & nicely warming whisky alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Delivers exactly what it promises; sweet & chocolatey without turning into a pastry Stout, never letting go of the distinctive 'Stoutness'.

This is everything I want in a beer. It's rich and smooth, malty chocolate and coffee and dried fruit. Beautiful stuff.

Can. Has a deep reddish brown to black colour with a compact light beige head. Aroma with lots of chocolate, cocoa, leather, Baileys, nougat and coffee mocca. Hint of cinnamon. Flavour of chocolate truffles, leather, oak, liqour and roasted coffee. Has a soft mouth feel, full-bodied and light to medium bitterness. Rich and filled With chocolate.

Bottle. Pours slightly greasy black with a medium mocca head. Aromas of looots of chocolate cake, dark chocolate, caramel, some vanilla, molasses, butter. Taste is following, lots of chocolate, some roast, butter, some vanilla, molasses, chocolate nibs, cocoa, cake, light caramel. As it heats up it gets more savory and salty notes along with darker coffee notes.

330 ml can. Pours a reddish black with full foamy tan head. Aromas of rich chocolate syrup, vanilla, cream and slick toasted malts. Rich flavors follow same - creamy dark chocolate. Beer? I don’t know. Desert? You bet. Worth the premium price? For one yes; for more no.
