This dark brown to black beer is packed with aromas of chocolate cake, cocoa, coffee, some butter and dried fruits. Flavor is sweet-based with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, lightly bitter coffee, and a savory touch. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle (November 2016). Pours black with a small tan head. Intense aroma of cocoa powder. Taste is so rich, heaps of cocoa powder, some roast malts, coffee, more and more cocoa powder, a touch of booze, very sweet. Full bodied, thick, smooth, fine carbonation. A delicious beer but one that's almost too rich to fully appreciate - can't/don't feel like finishing this bottle myself. It's a sipper and a sharer for sure.

Bottle from Burg Bieren @ home. Black color. Small head, mocha colored. Aroma's: artificial honey, cocoa powder, sweet. Retronasal there's artificial honey too, but also sweet chocolate, light salty. Flavor is roasted, sweet, light bitter. Warming alcohol. Full bodied, velvetty mouthfeel. Long finish, roasted, moderate bitter. Especially aroma-wise not entirely convincing.

Aus der Flasche im 2018-02 getrunken. Dieses kräftige IStout wird von einem tollen ca. 55-60%igen Schokolandenaroma beherrscht. Sicher ein Spitzenstout vielleicht nur eine etwas zu einfache Aromavielfalt.

FO 23/11/16. Amazingly thick. Very bitter, plenty of superdark chocolate. Creamy, soft, some more bitter. Dessert, but could use some sweet.

Aprócska, tartós hab, fekete szín. Kávés, kakaós, aszalt gyümölcsös illat. Enyhén édes, kávés, kakaós, földes ízvilág, aszalt gyümölcsös aromákkal. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Jól összerakott, finom sör.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket i heimen 31 Okt 17. Svart. Høyt luftig brunt skum. Daler veldig sakte. Litt lacing. Lett kakaoaroma. Smaken som aromaen. Tørr alkoholisk etter hvert. Det ble litt overdose med kakao her.
