Bottle at home. Thanks Jesse! It pours a dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma has some chocolate, raisins and soy sauce. The flavor has deep, dark roasted malt. Heavy black malt acidity with some noticeable raisin and chocolate. There’s an aged character to this beer, but I don’t think it’s that old. Very thick mouthfeel. Good overall. Intense.

Bottle at home. Pours black with big brown head. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, cheese, metal. Taste very bitter and very sweet, with some cheesy salt taste. Smooth mouth feel.

Draft at Uiltje Bar. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of cocoa, big chocolate, roast, a slight medicinal note, licorice and coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light heavy bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at the 2nd Annual Garvie Christmas Tasting. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of tar, chocolate, cocoa. Taste is cocoa, light sweet coffee, faint roast. Sweet finish, but not cloying. Good.
