Sample at the taproom. Brown-black pour with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee in the nose. Full-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character, with notes of earthy hop and bittersweet chocolate in the background. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Solid traditional Imperial Stout all around.
