Bottled 500ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Pitch black coloured, small to medium sized tan head, chocolate in the nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate mousse, light nutty notes and bitterish hoppy but unfortunately too watery. More body please.

Bottle. Black I guess. Chocolate and light nutty notes in the aroma, chocolate dominating the taste as well, with some very light herbal hoppy touches. This is simply put a well executed, tasty chocolate beer that I know many people, not even beer geeks would love!

Pours pitch black, topped with a medium small beige head, slowly settling. Pleasant and quite intense dark chocolate note with slight roast and cocoa. A hint of rum cake presence in the nose. Taste is dark hocolate with slight roastiness in the back that gets more noticeable in the aftertaste. Slight sourish grainy touch, but way in the back. Medium bodied, silky texture. A real chocolate bomb, as promised.

Cask at Rose & Thistle, Frimley Green. Malty choc aroma - Horlicks. Dark, with cola brown tints. Fluffy beige head. Initially sweet before gaining some bitterness into the finish. Hints of both milk and dark chocolate, alongside coffee. Surprisingly thin and light. If a tad creamy. Soft carbonation. Astringent finish. Fine but doesn't do too much for me. The xhoc gets a bit lost by the finish.

Bottle. Black body with a thin beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of ash, chocolate, cocoa powder and burnt toast. Flavour of chocolate, herbs, plum and Coco Pops. Thin to medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Light fizz. Lives up to the name. I’d like to try this on cask.
