A sweet and decadent stout at a (reasonably) sessionable ABV. A combination of the dark malts and lactose produce sweet chocolate flavours alongside a very subtle bitterness on the finish.

Cask at Creaky floorboard, Derby Pours a very dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is malty and nutty. In the mouth there is milky chocolate contasting with dark fruits and blueberries. Overall sweetness with a hint of vanilla and strong alcohol flavouring – I can’t believe this is only 5% ! Finish is dark fruits and malts. Rather nice to say the least.

Gravity cask at the Blue Boar's Pentrich Tap Takeover, Leicester. Black and opaque with a ring of tan head. Malt-heavy aroma with notes of espresso, charcoal, bittersweet chocolate. Tastes very sweet, but there's a blueberry-laden hoppy bitterness nearer the finish. Full oily body, soft carbonation. A cracking sweet stout.
