Sampled from bottle at Maakun’s. Thanks mariuspoenari! Big sweet roasted chocolate malts, sweet maple, strong booze, bourbon, vanilla, port, sweet dark fruit, tutti-frutti. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. Nice roasty sweet syruppy stuff.

Bottle shared. Black with short lasting dark beige head. Lots of bourbon, dark chocolate, light stone fruits, maple, vanilla, peach, light cinnamon. Very sweet with alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied. Great. 4.2 Aged a bottle a bit. More fruits and a bit less hot and alcoholic though it’s still there a bit. I think it’s a little bit better now, really good beer.

Bottle big thanks to Kenny. It pours jet black with a tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, sticky, slick, dirty, chocolate, maple syrup, maple, glaze donut, cocoa and tobacco. The taste is slick, sticky, dark chocolate, tobacco, maple glaze, booze, boosty, spicy, earthy and wood with a slick, warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth - feel. Rich a filthy. Tasty. And filthy.

Bottle shared on Level 42 09/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A oily black coloured pour with a mid tan head. Aroma is sweet, maple, hot alcohol, praline, hot alcohol, . Flavour is composed of sweet maple, honey, woody, praline, nutty praline, brown malts. . Palate is super sweet, sticky sugars, moderate carbonation, too sweet for me.

Bottle split at L42, big thanks to Kenny, 09/02/17. Black with a well appointed tan covering. Nose is chocolate, spice, black pepper, charr, fruit loaf, maple syrup. Taste comprises subtle bourbonics, spice, charr, chocolate, earthy tones, black pepper, toffee, dark fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming boost and light peppery spice in the close. Solid BA impy ... great balance and good to boost on.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny! Pours deep brown-black with a small, creamy tan head. The nose has sugary chocolate, some torched wood, burnt marshmallows. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with syrupy sugars, baking cocoa, brown sugar, dried berries. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, sticky, with gooey chocolate, more ripe berries, vanilla, marshmallows. Big boy. I like it.
