Sample at the Columbus taproom during the "Platform Beer Columbus Grand Opening!" on 12/28/2016. Hazy dark orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, resiny hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a juicy fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Can. Pours like the contents of a barley snow globe into my pint glass, with chunks of stuff swirling around and all. To be honest, it kinda looks like the first couple of pints you get off a new keg of home-brew. Aromas are fairly weak with a bit of honey a touch of tropical fruit (cantaloupe and mango?) and maybe a little bit of a grassy edge. Flavor has a sharper hops presence that comes across as a little lemony. It’s OK, but could be much more interesting... especially given the name and the concept. I really want to try the original home-brew recipe to see how well this matches it. I have a suspicion that something went a little off while upscaling the recipe/production.
