Flight @ the taproom, Montreal. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and dried fruit. Pours cloudy amber brown color with thin creamy off-white head and fair lacing. Tastes of sweet caramel backed up with dried fruity acidity, following is nutty, herbal hoppy with warm mouthfeel, rather dry and bitter finish. A dark reddish hazed copper barleywine with a very thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light vinous character, alcohol warmth, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with fruity esters, light banana, alcohol warmth, closer to a Dubbel. On tap at brewery.
