Mentor is a 10.5% ABV, traditional Belgian Tripel. Created to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary, it was brewed using the parti-gyle technique in partnership with Mentee Belgian Table beer.

Mentor is brewed with pale malts, herbal hops and Belgian Candi Sugar creating a complex body with a strong, sweet finish. It was brewed and inspired by "Mentor" Richard Dubé.

Mentor/Mentee was born from a parti-gyle partnership between Richard Dubé and Evan Rouse that represents their individual personalities and unique brewing relationship. Parti-gyle is a two-part technique using the same mash, drawing off the first part of the mash to make a higher gravity ale, then drawing off the second runnings for a more ordinary and lighter variety called table beer.

Sample at the taproom for Cincinnati Beer Week on 06/23/2017. The beer is a hazy dark orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Sparse strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of Belgian yeast, banana, malt and slight earthy hops. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.
