Cutting Tiles is an exploratory series of Double IPAs featuring a range of aromatic single hop varietals brewed with raw local wildflower honey. This version is dosed with 100% Mosaic in all kettle, whirlpool and a massive dry hop addition. The honey keeps the body light and drinkable but provides an earthy backbone. Juicy, candied peach and nectarine up front backed up with a nuanced white wine on the nose that continues straight through in the flavor profile. Pillowy soft mouthfeel, with a restrained bitterness on the finish.

Can (9/7/20) pour from the Fort Point brewery. Appearance is opaque orange juice with tons of sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width white foamy head with good retention and light soapy lacing. Aroma is very strong musky herbs, background floral and fruity. Taste is strong arm-pitty musky herb, sweet stone fruit (and honey?), grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, lively carbonation and dry finish as taste with very mild bitterness. Overall, much more herbal than I was expecting but strong and with sweet fruit/honey (better balanced in taste than aroma) as well. Too carbonated.

16 oz can, 6/11/20. Canned 5/14/20. ABV is listed at 8/5% on the can. Pours a fully hazed bright golden-orange with a white head and some moderate, streaky lace. Aroma is fruity, with mango, peach, and melon all coming through over a bright, floral honey aroma. Drinks on the sweet side with a nice dankness to it as well. It is slightly sticky and a hint hot on the finish. Flavor intensifies as you drink it. Really good.

Growler thanks to Nick Stratman. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is super fruity, dank, lemony, herbal, citrussy, melony, mango, fresh hops. Taste is a bit sweeter, dank, spicy, herbal, bitter.

Bit tired but still good. Guess it’s amazing when it’s completely fresh.

(On tap @ Witchstock 2018, Toronto, Sep 29/18) Pours moderately hazy yellow gold with a white head. Notes of sweet juicy and candied peach, apricot, mango, orange blossom, soft supportive honey, rather floral, touch of malt, finishing semi-dry with some bitterness, a little earthy fresh pine and resin touches peeking in. Medium slick body, rather soft carb, no booze. Super smooth, elegant, extremely drinkable. I could drink this stuff all through a hot afternoon (and end up passed out). Great brewing.

Enjoyed 24 days after canning. Murky yellow golden colour Somewhat frothy off white head. Aroma's of dank hops, onion, resinous bitterness. Retronasal it's somewhat sweet, (very) dank hops, resin, juice. Flavour is moderate sweet with light bitterness. Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Long finish, light moderate bitter and orange soda (?). Great stuff (and a good burp).
