Abandon oneself to the decadence of our new Gold Top DIPA. A sextet of some of our favourite hop varieties deliver a frenetic performance; heady hop oil unctuousness, followed by a platter of peach, melon, tangerine and grape, before a serving of caramel-capped banana splits. The cherry on top is the smidgen of lactose that tempers the hop intensity, rounds out the sweetness and heightens the luxuriance.

Can. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Nose is predominantly soft hop skunk. Airy palate, mildly dry, good superfine minerally carbonation. Soft light pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. The heady looking hop bill delivers a more muted profile than I expected. Soft skunk follows the nose, soft pine. Juicy rich citrus but in a secondary part, soft ripe orange and mandarin, a little like and coconut, HBC1019 wandering in to banana territory. Mild citrus peel on the back end. Airy and semi dry finish. It's a tidy and tasty dipa. For me, with a hop bill like this, it's a bit caught up in the generic green hop side of things. But overall, well balanced and supremely drinkable.
