Pours deep amber with a large rapidly fading head.
Nose shows biscuity malt, grainy notes, faint lemony hops.
Flavours include caramel, bready and biscuity malt with a touch of sweetness.

Into a Sam Adams glass - makes sense to brew something like this now you can't get that or Brooklyn here. Brownish amber, modest beige head. Biscuity aroma, some peppery hops. Malty and moderately sweet with enough bitterness to keep you interested. Fair enough - maybe could have used a few more bubbles.
Interesting that Boatrocker seems to be pursuing a two pronged approach - some v expensive fancy beers + quite a few new modestly priced offerings not using shedloads of hops. IMHO a smart move.
