Nitro sample at the brewpub during the Brewer’s Challenge on 02/05/2016. Brown-black pour with a thick and creamy beige head that diminishes slowly to a dense film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, chocolate and earthy hops. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall, I would like to try a non-nitro version.
