Sample at the North Market Ohio Craft Beer Festival on 09/12/2015. Dark brown color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily to a wispy film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee flavors, plus some chocolate and anise in the background. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
