Sample at the taproom. Dark brown pour with some mahogany around the edges, and a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and mild hops. Light-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character, and notes of chocolate and hops in the background. The finish is roasted malt and cocoa. Above average overall.
