I’ve a 12 oz can obtained from the Total Wine in the Heights of Houston several weeks ago. Stamp on the bottom indicates Canned 08/20/24. My first tasting from the brewery, a decent one I hope. I’ll be using a snifter from the Houston-local but unfortunately closed brewery, Buffalo Bayou. The pour is a curious, semi-hazy, orange-amber liquid with a proper top of solidly white foam. I get a scent of hops, pine and peaches, not bad but nothing exciting. I take a good full drink. Certainly an improvement over the smell. Unquestionably a West Coast IPA with a nice malt backbone, plenty of hoppiness, yellow fruit, pine and a bit of honey. There’s a nice mix of bitter and sweet. I’m not plowing a new field with this brew but it’s plenty all right.

Sample at the taproom. Clear orange color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of floral hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short herbal hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
