Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a dark brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, dark fruit and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of earthy malt, figs and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a peaty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
