Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated fairly quick. No lace.
The aroma had some sweet milk chocolate, hazelnut, coffee creamer, coffee beans, roasted nuts and butterscotch.
The flavor lead with the sweet chocolate to butterscotch tones. Coffee beans seemed more of an afterthought. The aftertaste was the sweetness of the chocolate and butterscotch. Finish was sticky sweet.
The palate was about medium bodied, maybe just a tad under. Carbonation was low and the ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, seemed more of a sweet stout to me. Decent beer, though.

Sample at Blind Tiger. Brownish-black pour with a thin khaki head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate and malt. Light to medium body with a roasted coffee character and notes of malt and hops. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.
