Sample at the Columbus Winter Beerfest on 01/14/2012: This beer pours brownish-black with hints of crimson around the edges, and a medium tan head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Dark cherries and malt in the nose. Medium to full body with a moderately tart cherry flavor and notes of oak and dark malts in the background. The finish is oaky with a cherry aftertaste lingering. Good beer all around.
