Sampled from the tap at the brewery during the 5th anniversary party. Poured a hazy reddish brown with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was of a slight smokey peat with notes of light fruits and grains. Flavor started with light fruit with a strong growing peat profile and a bit of alcohol in the finish.

Sample at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer is a dark brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes slowly. Thick rings of lacing on the glass. Smoked malt aroma with some caramel and hop notes. Rich and smooth body with a nice subtle smoky character over an earthy malt base. Some hops and caramel notes in the background as well. The finish is smoky and peaty with a lingering malt aftertaste. Solid beer all around.
