This brew pours a flat black color with some brown around the edges, and a medium thin light beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Sparse small patches of lace. Oaky aroma with notes of bourbon, malt and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, roast malt, chocolate fudge and a touch of earthy hop. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good Imperial Stout/Barley Wine hybrid overall.
