4-pack from early in the run, when it was "Da" Gummy with just one "a".
This particular Gummy states that it’s made with Cashmere, Strata, Chinook and Mosaic hops. So it’s more of a traditional hop load. The color is a bright gold, and typically hazy, almost opaque. I’m back to a large nose of pine needles and resin. I catch some guava and pomegranate, maybe some Hawaiian POG juice.
The taste starts out resiny as well. Then the fruit juice impression starts to build up. The orange juice and other citrus starts to stick around on my tongue. Must be a good bit of malt left, as it’s sticking happily to my lips. I’m sure some sweetness is also a part of the intended impression of an NEIPA.
The initial strong resiny hop character has gone away at the finish, which stays strong with orange and grapefruit juice.
I’m not an absolute fan of Hazy IPAs, just because I rarely compare more than one of them at a time. But I like them when I have them, and I most definitely like this one!
