Very hazy golden and peach coloured body, about 90 per cent opaque, with a very thin, ultra-large bubbled and soapy tan head that fades very quickly - not too nice there. Aroma of grass, hay, flowers, light resin, yeast funk and bread with a light hop note showing citra. Medium-bodied; Very funky and complex flavour at first with grass, hay, super tart candy and tropically fruits hitting, with pineapple, guava, kiwi and even passionfruit noticeable, all ending with a tiny dash of alcohol at the edge and some of the hop bitterness actually coming through, too. Aftertaste is crisp, with the tropical fruits, soured and tart elements, but also a lot of malt, a good deal of sugars from fructose and even lactose, with a lot of the vanilla showing through right at the end - nice and complex! Overall, I'm generally not a fan of the term 'Sour IPA' (they are mostly just sours), but this actually works - since it is tart, fruit and still shows real hop bitterness. Very nice and well recommended, go try and find this one! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 05-June-2020 for US$5,57 sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-June-2020, just four days later.
