Very clear, perfectly golden and copper coloured body with a nice thinnish one to two centimetre tall white and almost pink head. Aroma of bright soured and tart fruits with some apples, berries, cedar, spontaneously fermented/wild yeasts with a dash of foeder and bretty funk towards the end - very nice and incredibly complex in the nose! Light-bodied; Tart, soured, funky, yeastie, berry-y and very dry throughout with a lot of the spontaneously fermented notes and some dry cedar, but the apple and pear sweetness and soft malt elements are very strong as well and show quite well. Aftertaste is dry, very fruity, dry, complex, soured, tart and super easy-drinking with a lot of dry notes, but more of the wild, yeastie and funky elements that show throughout, in a good way. Overall, a complex and funky beer that hits all the right notes (minus the brine, that isn't here, really, just in a very small way) and is very easy-drinking, but has tons of flavours, especially soured and wild ones. Overall, a nice beer to sample, especially on a hot and summer day after just returning to the humid East Coast after being out west for 10 days! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 17-May-2020 for US$1,97 sampled in my house here in Washington on 05-August-2020.
