Crisp copper coloured body with a deep bronze glow and almost no head at all, perhaps a centimetre tall. Aroma of light European hops or ones without much alpha acids at all, some very light cardboardie malt notes and a dash of caramelised sugars. Light to Medium-bodied; Strongish malty and cardboard notes dominate at first with some stale toffee and caramelised sugars as well with some raisins and figs noticeable along with a dash of yeast and crisp toasted grain notes at the end. Aftertaste is fairly malt-forward without much else from hops, sugars or anything else, but there is a hint of the light alcohol, although relatively mild. Overall, a decent enough beer without much flavour aside from the malt. Decent to try, but worth passing up of course, if you are only in the market for one or so beers total. I sampled this four ounce pour on draught, as part of the full nine-beer lineup sampling, from the brewpub/brewery in Rapid City, South Dakota, just hours after landing in the state [for the first time, ever] on 25-June-2020 for US$12,25 (for all nine beers!).
