Hazy golden, blonde, straw and raw honey coloured body, with a nice thick, four to five centimetre tall deep tan head - very nice! Aroma of soap, citrus fruit, tropically fruits and a touch of pure candy - very nice and robust in the nose with some malt noticeable, but nothing pungent. Medium-bodied; Rich almost toasted grain malt notes with a lot of astringency and powerful aspects that show a peated malt bite, some earth and more bready yeast notes that hit much stronger than the hop flavours, which still exist, but show the piney, floral and lightly citrus notes without anything tropical here. Aftertaste is relatively strong, with the yeast, pungent grain and astringent notes by far the strongest, with only a touch of hop notes and complexity on the tail end with almost no sweetness at all. Overall, disappointing as I though fruit would play more with this one, but it wasn't to be. Not recommended, but still decent enough to try. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-April-2020 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 04-June-2020.
