Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small cream head and good lacing. Nose is fruity- with plums prominent and traces of oats. Fruit again to the fore in the mouth, this time with blackberries and raspberries, Wine gums of red and black shades as well. A creamy texture with oats lurking underneath. Finish is still fruity, but some bitterness coming through at last. This is quite nice, but doesn’t have much actual stout character.
