When we go big on an IPA, we have a tendency to go REALLY big with the hop bills.
Yellow Necessity appears to be simple in its execution, with its unassuming artwork hiding a stone cold beast inside. Another occasion in which we’ve taken a look at our stockholding in the cold store and just internally said “Why the hell not”, a four way dance of some serious contenders for favourite in-house hop varieties here at Polly’s are all finely tuned to accentuate one another here on Yellow Necessity.
Galaxy sets the foundations on this beer, with prickly bitterness thanks to a hearty addition on the hot side, before an all out onslaught cold side addition of Mosaic, Sabro, Talus and even MORE Galaxy brings the swag bag of juicy notes abound. Expect to find tangerine sweetness, passionfruit, bright lime notes, and a hint of creamy coconut doing its thing in this stereotypically Polly’s IPA.

Can from Valhalla’s Goat. Milky golden body with an off-white head. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of straw and coconut. Flavour of orange, lime chutney and melon rind. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Pithy and green.

Bright fruity aroma and taste, lots of pineapple and grapefruit , lemon splash, medium sweet malty support, touch of coconut shavings into the sold hoppy finish. Lovely drop.
