Pours quite pale, nice white foam. Aroma very fresh, lots of herbal hops, full of citrus. Taste is quite light loaded with citrus and grapefruit flavours again Quite thing body, so letting these citrus aromas to come out especially nicely. Still easily drinking, another nice one from Shiga Kogen.

Bottle from Asahiya served in a footed pilsner glass. It pours a light copper gold with a very minimal head that vanishes in a blink. It has a really nice herbal and pine cone dank hop bouquet. Medium bodied with a somewhat watery mouthfeel. The taste is sweet malts and peppery pine - decent.

Draft - Nice sweet citrus hops. Clear gold with a decent white head. Big burst of citrus hops, with a good amount of bitterness to follow up. Finishes clean and refreshing. Glad to find a great session APA in Japan, just wish I found it more often.

12 oz. bottle, courtesy of TimE. Golden color, a bit hazy. White head, not much. Aroma’s: citrus, hints of lychee, a bit vegetables. Retronasal it’s very hoppy, a little earthy, slightly sweet. Flavor is moderate bitter with hints of fruity acidity. Light bodied. Long, rather bitter finish, but not harsh. Nice APA, but no idea why it’s called African.

Bottle at home London - big thanks to Tim for trading me this one! Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a large, frothy pure white head. Lots of juicy citrus on the nose, some lychee or something, mild pee and grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavor with lightly bready pale malts, delicate cat pee, more grapefruit, lemon, some tangerine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Well balanced on the finish with further bready pale malts, grapefruit, mandarin orange, hints of pine needles. Lovely beer. Effortlessly drinkable.
