Four hops, three malts, two sugars, two spirits, one spice, one wood; it goes without saying that this is a complex beer. Very rich and full-bodied, lifted by the judicious use of American spirits and Madagascan spice. Oak conditioning adds another layer of complexity. A beer to sip and enjoy. Pair with roast meats, rich desserts, or dark chocolate.

Tap at the Good Luck Beer House, Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin, long-lasting tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, liqouirce, coffee, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate liquorice, light sweet with a smooth rich, roasty, liqouirce, peaty, boozy alcoholic palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. It’s a fine beer but way too boozy. Can’t believe it’s jusr 9%.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light bready notes, light licorice, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with loads of licorice, bourbon barrel, light gin notes, grassy hops, alcohol warmth, very nice and complex. On tap at brewery. 7-3-8-3-15.

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma is heavy, with roasted malt, spirits, oak and light spiciness. Flavour is intense, with rich roasted malt, spirits, light oak, vanilla, some light spices and fairly high sweetness on the finish. Wouldn't have thought all the weird stuff in here would work harmoniously, but it's done pretty well.
